Solid Okoume Board Advantages
Lightweight and high strength, with high cost-effectiveness
The air-dry density is approximately 0.48g/cm³, which is 20%–35% lighter than conventional solid wood, but the bending and compression strength is moderate, and the strength-to-weight ratio is excellent. It is more convenient for transportation and construction.
Strong stability, less prone to deformation and cracking
The wood has a small shrinkage rate when drying. After strict drying and splicing processes, the dimensional stability is good, and it has outstanding resistance to warping, deformation and cracking.
Excellent processing performance
The cutting surface is smooth and free of burrs. The gluing, nail holding, and steam bending performance are good, suitable for CNC processing and complex shapes; the surface is easy to sand and has strong paint absorption, suitable for mixed oil and coloring.
Aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly
The texture is straight, with small color differences, no obvious blemishes, and a good natural texture; the glue used for environmental-friendly bonding has low formaldehyde release, meeting indoor environmental protection requirements.
